Anthills and Galaxies
Scientists recently reported that there are approximately 20 quadrillion ants on the planet, about 2.5 million ants for every human on earth*.
According to the internet, there are 200 sextillion stars in the universe. Meaning there are 10 million stars for every ant on earth.**
Therefore, every ant has only a tiny fraction of a human but a whole lot of stars.
I don't know how many puppies are on the earth, but the one we just adopted is fascinated by the ants around our house, sprinting over to their hills and sticking her nose in the openings. She's been bit twice but clearly, ants are worth a little sting.
Roo and I share an interest in anthills. We do not yet know how she feels about stars.
*I did not do this math, I found it on the internet.
